Request for Corruption Awareness Talk
The Corruption Prevention Section, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) organizes regular awareness talks, roadshows, training and workshop for different sectors of the community.
Government departments, public bodies and private sector can incorporate corruption prevention measures in their procedures to eliminate any corruption loopholes. They can invite officers from ACB to deliver talks to equip them with knowledge on the offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act (Chapter 131); effect and consequence of corruption; risk management; ethical governance and to gain public confidence in the efforts of eradicating corruption and how to report corruption to ACB.

Prevention

One of the main functions of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is prevention. As stated under Section 4A of the Prevention of Corruption Act (Chapter 131) the prevention works include:
- Examine the practices, systems and procedures of public bodies in order to identify any loopholes that are prone to corruption.
- Once identified, ACB is to provide guidance, advice, and assistance in eliminating those loopholes and any corrupt practices.
- Advises the heads of any public bodies on improvements to policies, systems, and procedures that strengthen integrity and reduce opportunities for corruption while ensuring the effective performance of their official duties.
- Promotes public awareness through anti-corruption education and encourages active public participation and support in preventing and combating corruption.

Corruption Awareness Talk is one of Anti-Corruption Bureau’s (ACB) preventive measures to disseminate the anti-corruption awareness as well as to enhance the public understanding and knowledge on the offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act (Chapter 131).

Anti-Corruption Bureau’s (ACB) preventive measure is also conducted through education. ACB has collaborated with Curriculum Development Department, Ministry of Education in integrating Corruption Prevention Education in the national curriculum in 2006 in Melayu Islam Beraja subject for primary, secondary and tertiary school level.

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken another new effort and initiative in combating corruption by involving participation from the public sector, private sector and public body in a program called ‘Training of Trainers’. This program was launched on 10 December 2022 in conjunction of International Anti-Corruption Day.
