3 June 2026, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) was invited by Institute of Public Service to deliver talk on ‘Offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act (Chapter 131)’ at the Main Hall, Level 1, Institute of Public Service. The anti-corruption talk was one of the modules for the Induction Course.
A total of 182 participants from various Ministries and Departments in Brunei Darussalam attended the session to enhance understanding on the importance of integrity and good governance in the public service.
The main objective of this awareness talk was to expose and increase knowledge of the public servant about corruption offences, its prevention measures and good practice. The presentation include causes of corruption, effects of corruption, how to report corruption and Good Practices: Handling of Gifts in the Public Service.
This talk is also expected to increase the awareness of the public servant on their respective responsibilities in maintaining integrity, as well as support the government’s efforts towards creating a transparent, accountable and corruption-free public service.
