On Thursday, 06 May 2021, at 09:15 a.m. the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), held a Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony at the ACB Headquarters, Bandar Seri Begawan.
To enliven the holy month of Ramadan, this Khatam Al Quran ceremony was held to mark the completion of the reading 30 Juzuk Al-Quran by the Officers and Staff of the ACB. The reading of Tedarus Al Quran is an annual event organized by the ACB Religious Committee which was held throughout the month of Ramadan.
Attending as the Guest of Honour to the ceremony was Dayang Suhana binti Haji Sudin, Director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau. The event began with the recitation of the Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the mass reading of surahs beginning Surah Ad-Dhuha, followed by the reading of Takhtim, Tahlil, Doa Khatam and wrapped up with the Dikir Marhaban.
Also held at this ceremony was the presentation of souvenirs for the Al-Quran Recitation of Self-Encouragement to BMR participants in conjunction with the Nuzul Al-Quran 1442H/2021M and the presentation of Hari Raya Contributions, donated from Welfare Fund of the ACB for the 21 staff of Division V (5) ACB.
The objective of holding the Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony is to encourage ACB officers and staffs to devote themselves with the recitation of Al-Quran as well to get rewards and blessing of Allah.
The ceremony ended with the recitation of Doa Selamat and group photo.
