12 November 2025, Bandar Seri Begawan – The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Brunei Darussalam hosted the 8th Tripartite Games on 11 and 12 November 2025, with the participation of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) of Singapore. The event, held at the Sports Complex, University Brunei Darussalam and Golden Bowling, Airport Mall, brings together over 150 delegates from the 3 agencies. Various sporting activities were organized, including futsal, netball, volleyball, badminton and bowling.
In her welcoming remarks during the official opening ceremony of the 8th Tripartite Games, Datin Paduka Hajah Anifa Rafiza binti Haji Abd Ghani, Director of Anti-Corruption Bureau, stated that “Today marks not just another gathering of our agencies, but the continuation of a long-standing tradition — one that celebrates the unity, friendship, and shared purpose that bind the ACB, MACC and CPIB.” She further stated that the event brings together officers not only as competitors but as teammates and friends and reminds that the fight against corruption is also about teamwork, resilience, and trust — values that are reflected both on and off the field.
Also present at the opening ceremony were Mr. Sam Tee Chong Fui, Director of CPIB, Singapore and Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Sri Ahmad Khusairi bin Yahaya, Deputy Chief Commissioner of MACC.
The Tripartite Games is an annual sports event hosted on a rotational basis among Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore. This year, the Anti-Corruption Bureau served as the host, continuing the tradition that reflects strong and ongoing cooperation among the three agencies in strengthening regional networks towards combating corruption.
In this year’s competition, the ACB contingent was announced as the overall champion of the 8th Tripartite Games, collecting 28 points after winning in the Netball and Futsal. The runner up title went to MACC with 27 points after winning in the Badminton and Bowling, winning in 3rd place was CPIB with 12 points who had achieve its championship in the Volleyball game.
The prize presentation ceremony for the winning teams was held at the Dewan Riadah, Anti-Corruption Bureau Headquarters, yesterday.
